Freepers heads exploding over Scott Brown's support of Financial Reform
http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/2517722/posts

"Scott Brown is a Liberty-hating liberal scumbag!"

"Most Politicians are made of sh!T! Count yourself amongst them Scott Brown."

"Never, never, ever trust a RINO."

------------------------------------
I'd say that the honeymoon is over.

1. They didn't think he was just another opportunist?
He's a Republican in a very blue state and wants to get elected to a full term, he's not worried about what they think of him.

3. He's smart enough to know that the people
of MA want him to vote for these things. They are used to having a senator that did. And if he wants to get re-elected he better show them he is doing the best he can for THEM the people of MA and not the republican party.

20. True.
Did'nt Springfield, MA lose a big pile of money in one of those investment scams? New Englanders are frugal, they don;t like having their local tax money vanish!
And you're right about listening to his constituents. Voting with the national party instead of your voters will get you the bum's rush - ask Junior Sununu!

8. Oh what an awesome, insightful and beautiful idea.
All Americans should ask for his autograph with the "60" notation.

9. Guess they weren't paying attention during the election..
I'm pretty sure he campaigned against Wall St. It was one reason some libs preferred him over corporate shill Coakley.

10. So Scott Brown should have voted for the greedy banksters, Freepers?
I love it that they literally all seem to have an 8th grade mentality.

13. The comments over on the Boston Globe article are hilarious
The article has some back story. Apparently Kerry and Frank convinced him - Kerry went on a 40 mile bike ride with him this morning and they discussed it. Given that the freepers who often post there hate Kerry and Frank - this really did not make them happy. http://www.boston.com/news/politics/politicalintelligence/2010/05/brown_switches.html

(I guess Kerry something (cycling) that they have in common. Kerry had a second hip operation in January, so this sounds like he is doing well.)

15. Now this is funny as hell!
Would not be surprised if he becomes a VP sometime . .

Haley Barbour/Scott Brown for example.

Or even Michelle Bachmann/Scott Brown

- Jim Robinson

Now. That's. Crazy.

17. Not too many peope understand New England Repubs.
One minute, they seem decent and the next they vote totally a way you would disagree with. My Gov is kind of like that here in CT. Brown is from Mass, he can't win again without middle of the road independents. Teabaggers are not the main support for Brown, there aren't many teabaggers in New England.

19. Freepers seem to be stuck on the idea...
...that only government can take away your liberty. The idea that massively wealthy, powerful, and influential corporations can also do it simply doesn't make it through their skulls.
