has Biden made any comments about the oil spill?
I wonder what he would do if he were POTUS now.

the rest of us at the mess.

3. VP Biden: We’re Finding Out the Oil Drilling Oversight “Was As Bad As I Thought”
/snip

Mr. Biden said for his entire career in the Senate he’d been one of the “main guys opposing drilling. Under the last administration they sort of threw away the key.”

The vice president said he doesn’t “have a problem with drilling if they have incredibly heavy oversight. But it just wasn’t happening.”

So, he continued, “when President Obama announced that he would go for limited drilling it was conditioned upon the fact that there be real serious oversight. And we’re finding out that the oversight was as bad as I thought it was in my career as a senator.”

I don't know if he could actually say what he would do since he's VP, but my guess is some heads would roll. He's more volatile than Obama and doesn't play it as close to the vest. (Like we don't all know that!)

We'd for sure know how he REALLY felt!

5. I heard somewhere (maybe Jonathan Alter promoting his book) that
Biden called for the firing of someone at one point (don't remember the details) but Obama decided against it.

Biden wouldn't be able to fire anyone without Obama's okay.

If Obama doesn't have the stomach for it, I'm sure Joe does.

7. I don't think Obama would like to delegate that much authority -
I think he'd want to have the last word on a matter like this. Just my opinion, of course, I haven't discussed this with either of them. :7

I agree that Joe would have the stomach for it. He's got a really strong sense of loyalty and if he feels betrayed I'd get out of the way.

9. I keep wishing they would put Biden in charge of this spill because he would raise hell BUT
I wouldn't want him to be the one giving the press conferences - lol - he would not be able to stick to message.

8. Joe Biden doesn't "comment"....
... because a "comment" is a short, concise, to the point statement on a given subject. Devoid of hyperbole or personal illustrations.

If you want to spend your time wishing that the hottest man beast in DC were President, feel free, but you might want to come to understand the man ... excuse me ... the GENIUS of whom you speak.

(and yes, it is STILL officially "Snarky Sunday")

11. Yeah, President Obama has his own style and
VP Biden has his and I like them both..not going to pit them against each other when they're both excellent.
