White House releases photo of War Room watching the assault on Bin Laden's compound....
Edited on Mon May-02-11 06:05 PM by SadPanda
Send a couple dozen US seals a couple hundred of miles into Pakistan. Assault a compound inside a major suburban city. Kill Bin Laden and his support staff. Lose a helicopter inside the compound. Gather massive amounts of intelligence. Evacuate some women and children. Evacuate all US personnel including Bin Laden's body. Fire Burn the entire compound. Suffer zero casualties. Fly home safely.

Win.

3. I would like to imagine this is the moment a camera when to Bin Laden's dead face...
But who knows what had her reacting in that manner. It could be they're just listening to gunfire and wondering what the outcome will be.

19. Hillary's face is pure horror. I was thinking of her as President when I saw that reaction.
As for Obama...I agree with the poster before me.

15. 2 things..
1) the secret service has their own "united states secret service" lanyards? That just seems bizarre to me.

2) Picture 5 in the series, "The President made a series of calls, including to former Presidents George W. Bush and Bill Clinton and others, to inform them of the successful mission."

I gotta wonder how those calls went. I bet they went differently than they would have if I were to have made them... "heya W. Hows it goin ya damn war criminal? Just called to let ya know I cleaned up your mess. Osama is dead. Now Ive just got to clean up this clusterfuck you made of the economy and civil rights."

20. I wonder what caused Hillary's reaction, she looks horrified.
And Obama looks very intense. What were they looking at? Was it the battle or its aftermath?

I also wonder what was the image in the piece of paper in front of Hillary. Why was it digitally smudged?

A remarkable pic.

:)

22. Almost certain it's a satellite photo, smuged as to not reveal the quality.
It looks very much like the compound, and given that it's in color I personally think the quality of that photo is pretty dang crazy.

I bet that video feed was extraordinarily hectic. One day it will be released, I hope.
