Can we please refrain from criticising Mr. Greenwald for living in Brazil
Mr. Greenwald doesn't live in Brazil because he likes bikini wax, or because he hates America or because he prefers the statue of Jesus overlooking Rio. He lives in Brazil because his husband, who is Brazilian, lives there and because Brazil, unlike America, recognizes marriage to enough of an extent that he can live there on the basis of his marriage. In short, he is an ex pat because his country hates gays and won't let us live as real couples.

5. I haven't seen that here except for this OP.
I've criticized Greenwald plenty, but not for any of the things you mention. I did a DU search and all I came up with was this OP.

Were they said and then deleted? If so, I hope that there was pizza to follow.

8. I think it's relevant at times. And I'll explain.
Most of his reporting is almost in an investigative style. That being said, I would expect him to be living in the states to be assured that everything he says to be factual. At times he takes a bit of liberty with certain things and the such. I would expect, all those who are making commentaries on issues and situations get first hand knowledge on what they discuss. IF you're living across an ocean.

I've seen where the criticism is that he's not living in the nation and blah blah. I think we all know why he's living in Brazil. In the article that gave us a peek into his life explains the reasons why he's living in Brazil. However, I'm coming from the side of how this might affect the "facts" in his articles and that's all. I don't care that he's living overseas. Shoot, I live in Paris. But I don't write investigative-type articles.

15. What is he wrong about?
Can you provide an example of something he has said or done that is wrong and has to do with him not living in this country?

17. Name one thing he's gotten wrong. Insinuation is often a tool
used against minorities. So name an error. And also, you comment on issues all over the States, and you do not live here, and you rarely point out that you do not live here. Your lack of first hand knowledge never stops you from having opinions from across an ocean.
So name an error he's made. Ready, begin. But you won't becaue you can't. You are just flinging mud, random scoops of mud.
So transparent. The idea of making unsupported accusations of inaccuracies in his work is just about as low a tactic as I can think of.

20. I wonder why posters post about someone they don't bother to identify, in the first instance?
Sometimes an OP is about some minor politician in some unidentified state - as if everyone should know who the second senator from South Dakota is.

Sometimes, like here, an OP seemingly continues a conversation from some other thread, referencing the post's subject by last name only, as if everyone read the first thread and is up on that conversation.

21. Greenwald is a pretty famous critic of Obama's policy of detention
and lately the killing of Osama. Honestly I think it is fairly close to common knowledge (incidently Johnson and Thune are the Senators from South Dakota.)
