I was doodling around on my Netflix looking for something to watch tonight...and I kept clicking through stuff I'd seen and stuff I never wanted to see...but Netflix hit up for "Instant Watch" ..."Chocolate News Shows." They were all from before the 2008 Election but I wanted something different so I clicked on and WOW...it was like Monty Python the humor and satire of that show that apparently was part of "Comendy Central," which is Jon Stewart's popular show on Cable TV. We in the KoKo House loved it...and we watched all episodes on Netflix..but then it stopped.
I have to say that I only watch Stewart's show in "clips posted here on DU" or if someone links somewhere on a Web Site to something that happened on "CC." His show is inconvenient for my TV viewing so I never catch it live.
But, Chocolate News apparently was a Regular Feature on "Comedy Central" until Obama got elected and then shortly after it was cancelled. At least according to the article I am linking. What's odd is that I never saw a post or link to "Choclate" any time during the Obama Campaign. Nor, on any of the other Dem Sites that I visited during that time. What's With That?
Does anyone know if it is still being produced? If So, I'd love to see more episodes. I searched "Google" and this is what I found:

What's the truth about failed black comedy shows?
David Alan Grier
Ian White/Comedy Central
Comedy Central has canceled David Alan Grier's Chocolate News. I know five months ago is way beyond the memory span of most of us -- especially we manic little workers in the media.
But try to think back to October, when two of the most important cable channels on TV, CNN and Comedy Central, debuted new comedy shows with top-name hosts who promised an "African-American take on the news," to quote one of the press releases. I am talking about Chocolate News, with David Alan Grier, on Comedy Central and D.L. Hughley Breaks the News on CNN.
Debuting on the eve of what looked more and more likely to be the election of the first African-American president in Barack Obama, much was made in the press and on blogs like this about how the shows and the election seemed to suggest a more open discussion about ethnicity and race was starting to take place in ther media and American life.Ah, progress. What a great and enlightened people we are, right? Not exactly.
