Question about Uganda, their Coffee Bean & the Kill Gay Bill about to become law...
Does anyone know how Coffee Beans are sold on the international market? Do corporations like Kraft Foods buy their beans straight from the country or countries in which the bean is grown?

If so, does anyone know or know how to find out if Kraft Foods or any other American Company buys the Robusta Coffee Beans from Uganda? I know the Robusta Coffee Bean makes up 75% of Uganda's exports & if any American company is buying their beans from Uganda I would like to know so that I can avoid buying that brand...I am pretty sure the Robusta Bean is used in cheaper coffee, correct?

The reason I ask is I read a comment on You Tube that claimed Kraft Foods was a huge part of Uganda's Export...Is this true? If so, we should spread the message so others know not to buy any of Kraft Foods brands of coffee whatever those are.

Of course this boycott would be in response to Uganda's DISGUSTING anti-gay bill about to become law that would call for homosexuals to be executed or imprisoned for LIFE! And others who know of a person who is gay regardless if it is a family member or not & they do not tell authorities they too could be jailed!

What really PISSES ME OFF is prominent so-called "PRO-LIFE" American Christians like Rick Warren have played a huge role in stirring up this homophobia in Uganda and/or refuse to speak out against this bill that would give the OK to kill homosexuals!

So, any help getting info on this issue would be greatly appreciated!!

1. Step one to great coffee is no Robusta beans
They are second rate beans, and coming from Uganda makes them worse than that. Boycott that nation. No quarter. Boycott Orange County CA, home of Rick Warren as well.

3. I know & it disgust me! They would do the same...
here if they could! They would jail more than just homosexuals! Atheist, scientist that do not support the idea of a Christian God, creation & the resurrection. They would love to turn America into a Christian Theocracy!

5. I think its too much hypocrisy
What are Gays who are denied rights in developed countries? No one is so overly concerned over thme as in the case of Uganda where the West threatens aid to the whole country over this bill.

7. Who has threatened aid?
And correct me if I am wrong but you seem to be upset with those who are upset with this bill?

And what does this mean..."What are Gays who are denied rights in developed countries?"

And so what if aid is used as a bargaining tool to get these monsters to change the bill or scratch it all together!

Many American Christians have stoked the violence against gays in Uganda as well...And to my knowledge no Christian leaders in America have come out against this bill that could lead to gays being executed!

9. This is a shocking law. How could people come to such a decision? I don't understand it at all.
I wonder if it is in part a reaction to an AIDS problem in their country, but that wouldn't explain going this far.

Are they very religious there, so that they think it's sinful? I've never heard that.

I just can't get my head around this. It's the same thing that Hitler did.

10. Uganda anti-gay bill 'shelved by parliament'
Uganda's parliament has adjourned without debating a controversial bill which includes the death penalty for some homosexual acts.

It had been reported that a vote could be held on Friday.

The Anti-Homosexuality Bill has been condemned by Western leaders and human rights groups, some of whom are celebrating "victory".

The bill, first introduced in 2009, could still be brought up when the new parliament meets later this year.

So international pressure may have helped; let's keep it up.
