Boehner on Face the Nation now - President Obama coming up
Boehner, time is now - what about the years during the bu$h regime when they were spending it like there was no end

1. That's one of the things that kills me about this current debate
Most Republicans (few, if any) stood up and demanded that Bush cut spending and, in fact, approved significant amounts of spending and raised the debt limit several times during Bush's (P)residency and now they're demanding all these draconian spending cuts- entirely on the backs of the less fortunate/less wealthy. It's hard for me to take them seriously when they refuse to acknowledge any responsibility for past excesses, as well as the fact that they're not willing to put any of their spending "pets" on the table for discussion, as well as revenue increases (we're not going to pay down the deficit through cuts alone- at least under the current parameters).
