This was 2 months ago when hostilities against Libya began.

Obama: U.S. Involvement in Libya Action Would Last 'Days, Not Weeks'
By JAKE TAPPER
March 18, 2011

President Obama told a bipartisan group of members of Congress today that he expects the U.S. would be actively involved in any military action against Libya for "days, not weeks," after which he said the U.S. would take more of a supporting role, sources tell ABC News.

Why don't we just make it easy on ourselves and remove all assets in the region that are currently being used to attack Libya?

End the war, President Obama and while you're at it, please end the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan as well. Remove all assets in those regions.

It's the patriotic thing to do. :patriot:

2. Obama's letter
His own words...

Since April 4, U.S. participation has consisted of: (1) non-kinetic support to the NATO-led operation, including intelligence, logistical support, and search and rescue assistance; (2) aircraft that have assisted in the suppression and destruction of air defenses in support of the no-fly zone; and (3) since April 23, precision strikes by unmanned aerial vehicles against a limited set of clearly defined targets in support of the NATO-led coalition's efforts.

4. In his speech on Libya he said:
"Going forward, the lead in enforcing the No Fly Zone and protecting civilians on the ground will transition to our allies and partners, and I am fully confident that our coalition will keep the pressure on Gaddafi's remaining forces. In that effort, the United States will play a supporting role - including intelligence, logistical support, search and rescue assistance, and capabilities to jam regime communications. Because of this transition to a broader, NATO-based coalition, the risk and cost of this operation - to our military, and to American taxpayers - will be reduced significantly." I guess he changed his mind because, after all, he promised change.

5. What is our current involvement? I don't think our participation lasted
very long. And Obama isn't waging any war in Libya, so calling on him to end anything there just doesn't make sense.

6. We are still hitting "targets" in Libya with weapons of war.

Obama, in his letter to Congress, has indicated that we are still involved there.
