4. Looks like Lugar is in a lose/lose election.

If he makes it out of the primary with a win he still has to account for voting the wrong way to all of the voters instead of just the teabaggers.

6. I almost feel sorry for Lugar

I usually disagree with him, but he seems like an honorable man. Too honorable, probably, because that means he's invoked the ire of the bagger contingent, and by invoking their ire has had to vote for a bill he knows is outrageously stupid.

The Republicans then willingly clutched them to their chests as they fell into the drink.

They think they have protected their rear and are now safe from Teabagger primaries, but refuse to see the frontal assault coming from the opposite side this fall for some of them.
