Call it "VOUCHER-Care".
Ryan and pubs are trying to re-frame their plan to end Medicare. Lies lies lies of course.
Please, call their plan VOUCHER-care at every turn. That is exactly what it is, and don't let them
get away with calling it anything else. Say it over and over again. VOUCHER-Care. VOUCHER-Care. VOUCHER-Care.
Spread the word far and wide. Thanks.

1. except
there are no vouchers involved. If you read the proposal it would work like Medicare part D or Medicare Advantage. The government pays a premium to the insurance company and then the insurance company sells it to the Senior.25% of all medicare plans are medicare advantage plans and most seniors are very happy with their plan.

18. It wouldn't work. Period.
How many insurance plans, GOOD insurance plans, are available for senior citizens for about 1000 bucks a month? They are nonexistent.

Sheesh.

20. I like yours better. OnYourOwn-Care is exactly how it should be framed.
But, I think the Democrats are doing a good enough job now by constantly using the terms "kill medicare" or "end medicare".

I'm not sure VoucherCare or OnYourOwn-Care is even needed.

9. Not good enough
COUPON-care. Vouchers cover the entire cost of your hotel room when the airline strands you; a coupon is for half off on your fifth stay. There is no way that Repub coupons are going to pay for a sizable fraction of health care costs. COUPON-care. COUPON-care.

19. I disagree. The framing, which the Democrats have been using, should be "kill" or "end" "Medicare".
Geeks (like us), pundits, and few others are the only ones aware of what voucher means. And, voucher is not a scary enough term.

If anything, I would rather we come up with a term that is more scary and descriptive. Something that reminds people that they will have to pay out of pocket and trust insurance companies when they need it the most. I'm just not sure that "voucher" is that term.

:hi:
