Rep. Joe Walsh goes with the racism re: Obama "Why was he elected?" "He was black"

They made up their minds early that they were in love with him. They were in love with him because they thought he was a good liberal guy and they were in love with him because he pushed that magical button: a black man who was articulate, liberal, the whole white guilt, all of that."

I guess since he says hes not racist we need to take him at his word.

Obama's 43 predecessors were black too. So are all 100 Senators and 50 governors. So is Prime Minister David Cameron of the UK, all his recent predecessors, and all 650 MPs.

I'd never heard of Bill Clinton before he ran for president or Jimmy Carter. Actually JFK wasn't known nationally until he ran for president either. I knew about Barack Obama back in 2004 because of his speech at the Democratic convention.

"Lightest resume"? - What about GW? His resume - son of a former president.

In order to try to evade the facts. That there's a black man who is smarter and more talented than he and all his white friends.

The constant unreasoning attacks against Pres. Obama are obviously fuelled by racism (of course, racists always deny it) and an outraged sense of white entitlement denied. Democratic Minority Whip Rep. James Clyburn said as much just this week.

He's right.

There was a poster here a while ago who repeatedly posted a comic of Obama "walking on water" but underneath the water were a bunch of white people propping Obama up and there was a banner that said "white liberal guilt" as if whites were the only reason this president won OR just as bad, the only reason whites supported this president was to atone for past racist sins. And this poster used to bring themselves to rapture reminding everyone here how "liberal" s/he was.

ANYONE who thinks that only conservatives are complicit in this type of bullshit needs to grow up and WAKE up. I give serious props to ClarkUSA, wndycty, BigotBasher and a few other folks here for constantly riding some PUMA/racist ass. You guys are fantastic.

Nice to see he didn't back down.

Their racism is so pervasive that they can't even engage with such an idea. It doesn't enter into their mind when they try to figure out why Obama won.

A Republican he probably won't beat in the primary, so I'm thinking he won't serve more than one term.
