"The road ahead will be long. Our climb will be steep."
Edited on Tue May-31-11 11:04 AM by Clio the Leo
"The road ahead will be long. Our climb will be steep. We may not get there in one year or even in one term. But, America, I have never been more hopeful than I am tonight that we will get there."

"So let us summon a new spirit of patriotism, of responsibility, where each of us resolves to pitch in and work harder and look after not only ourselves but each other."

~ Barack Obama, November 4th, 2008

1. I love it!! I wish people would listen to what Obama actually SAID during the campaign.
He didn't say that change would come in less than two years, for godssakes!

4. How can change even gain a foothold when Obama appoints the very thieves responsible for looting the
treasury to positions of power?

5. Blah...Blah...Blah...
I don't ever expect this president, or any Dem in my lifetime to pass the new progressive "purity" test. They squawk about the lack of jobs, and then attack the president for trying to make inroads with the very people who can create them. It's a catch 22 for any Dem president who tries to bridge the gap between the corporations and the labor unions.

"Progressives" scream that he's too friendly with big business, while big business is claiming this administration is trying regulate them out of business. You're damned if you do, and damned if you don't.
