8. No, this is what DU has always been.
A site where people point out the lies told by the people who were elected to govern this country.

12. As best as I could follow it ...
He said that:

- Running America is like running a small business.

- The country needs to learn to live within its means.

- Obama has been on an uncontrolled spending spree.

- Government is too big and this is only thing getting in the way of a glorious future for everyone.

- The only solution is to adopt cut-cap-and-balance to make sure that from this point forward the nation never spends a dollar more than it is spending now, no matter what.

9. I doubt it.
He looked shifty and he didn't address any of Obama's points. I don't think anyone except the tea party types will be impressed with his speech. At least I hope so. I realize I cannot be objective about this; I am too outraged by the behavior of the Republicans.

10. He came across
like the arrogant thug that he is. He lied and lied, and insulted our president, despite the fact that Obama gave the repubs way too much respect during his address.

The problem is mainstream America believes lies.

11. I thought Boner seemed uncomfortable

I think he wanted to make a deal with Obama but caved to the crazies in his party and then they gave him those stupid lines to repeat which he delivered fairly unconvincingly.
