3. When Republicans lie, even DU doesn't much bother holding them accountable....
which is part of the problem.
Note you have one comment before this one.....
Sad, sad, sad.

Most are on threads being snarky about the President's speech,
cause at the end of the day, everything is only about this one man,
and everything he thinks, says, or does......without regard to the fucked up
opposition that are the biggest fucking asshole liars in the world!

4. boner said congress passed a bill with bipartisan support. That may mean lieberman voted for it...
he didn't say anything about an agreement that I heard.

6. Only the House passed it and 5 Democratic congressmen voted for it
To call that bipartisan support is stretching the truth - I doubt they think the stimulus was passed with "bipartisan" support as three Republican Senators voted for it. Not to mention 1 Republican member of the House (Cao) voted for what Boehner calls "Obamacare. So, to use his terminology, that bill passed with bipartisan support - a claim no Democrat would have the chutzpah (or lack of sense)to claim.

8. this bipartisanhsip is garbage. all the way around. As far as I'm concnerned, we don't need the
other party to even exist. there is nothing great about making bad deals.

I'm sure those five were the gang of republicans with a D next to their names.

5. Yeah, because having
like 5 Democrats vote for it is reaaally bi-partisan. :sarcasm:

I'd really like to know the names of those dems who turned their backs on the American middle-class.

7. By his definition of bipartisan, the HCR bill was bipartisan as Representative Cao voted for it in
House.

9. And that's because Boehner did lie...
...I certainly did a double take when he said it.

First, only 5 Democrats in the House voted for it. There are 435 members of the House of which approximately 200 are Democrats. So 5 is a very small number, hardly enough to make a credible claim that the vote was "bipartisan".

Second, the bill he was talking about was passed by the House, which is only one half of Congress. It could never pass in the Senate and it never did, and he knows it. Therefore, "Congress" never passed that bill.

Therefore: Boehner LIED through his teeth. Not that it's anything new, glad to hear he was called on it.
