Michele Bachmann is back with her latest chart-topper
In talk of taxes, Bachmann cites Holocaust

By Sarah Palermo / Monitor staff
May 1, 2011

Amid sweeping campaign rhetoric denouncing government entitlement programs and taxes, Minnesota Rep. Michele Bachmann compared "our economic liberty being pulled out from under us" to the Holocaust.

Careful to note there is no direct analogy between the two, Bachmann, a potential Republican candidate for president, said current generations will be held accountable if they don't take action now - the same way Americans were after World War II, for not stopping the systemic murder of 6 million Jews and other minorities.

Her remarks came during a speech at Southern New Hampshire University in Manchester, where she described learning about the horrors of the Holocaust in school and asking why her mother didn't do anything to stop it.

She said she was shocked to hear that many Americans weren't aware of what happened until after the war ended. But, she said, current Americans can do something to stop the government from "consuming the very sustenance of the generation not even born." ................(more)

1. Wow, what an idiot.
If she was so concerned about the fiscal state of the goverment, she would immediately return all of the farm subsidies she's taken over the years to the Treasury.

But she won't, as she is just your typical Teahadist hypocrite.

3. Palin, Bachman.... Palin, Bachman.... Palin, Bachman.....

I keep having this debate with myself as to which one is more bat-shit crazy than the other.

On another note - Ms. Bachman, let me say to you - Medicare, Social Security, Unemployment Insurance, etc. etc. ARE NOT "ENTITLEMENTS". I've paid into those systems since I was 16 and have damned well EARNED my right to benefit from them when I decide to retire in a few more years. It's the TAX ENTITLEMENTS given to big oil, big pharma, investment bankers. etc. that we should be discussing.
