So he's dead. Who's the next bogeyman?
Anyone who thinks our troops are coming home and that Homeland(In)Security will fade away has another think coming.

19. This provides motivation for boots on the ground
since the Viagra Rape stories didn't work.

Sorry I'm so damn cynical, but there will be boots on the ground in Libya since this effort was so "successful". I hope and pray I am just being cynical, and that I am wrong. PLEASE let me be wrong - but Egypt opening the Gaza border tells me that suddenly, things HAVE to get much hotter in Libya due to it's location.

Neocon fantasies that the endgame is China or of occupying Saudi Arabia have been cancelled as infeasible.

There may be calls for an intervention in Mexico in a year or two, but the realistic endgame for a shrunken empire is going to be Canada. Laugh all you like, just give it 10 or 20 years and we'll see then. Can't let them deny us those tar sands. (Why do they hate our freedoms?) Plus the north coast is due to warm up for development of new cities.
