1. Me too........
But I'm not sorry about it. I never have been one to be politically correct anyway.

10. No, he's not really sorry. That part is supposed to read as cockiness and
devil-may-care abandon. Not that he should be 'sorry' about it either - but he's clearly trying to dismiss/fend off those who would make him feel guilty for it.
Its all fraudulent, much like this latest propaganda.

3. I'm relieved....
'Not sure "happy" really describes it for me, though I won't be critical of those celebrating.

But, in my mind, too much pain for so many precedes this day, for me to really be anything more than relieved.

7. Larger View:
Edited on Mon May-02-11 07:39 AM by Hissyspit
This is all failure. A failure of vision. A failure of viewing the world truthfully. A failure of understanding. A failure of American values. An economic failure. A failure to stop the liars in our midst. A failure to stop the 9/11 attacks from occurring despite all the warnings. A failure to stop those among us who didn't want to stop the attacks from occurring. A failure to stop Bin Laden from being a symbol for ten years.

The past ten years having been defined by this nonsense. Death, fear, lies, suppression of rights, xenophobia, hypernationalism.

No universal health care in the United States. Shock Doctrine economic disaster. Rethugs and Dems alike preparing to dismantle the social contract and safety net.

Obama said that "tonight, we are once again reminded that America can do whatever we set our mind to." Either that's not true, or the problem is what we set our minds to...

Was expecting bin Laden to be found during Obama's administration. Good that it happened.

11. Me to but the sad fact is I will be much happier when I hear the same news about Dick Cheney.
IMO Dick Cheney has done far more harm to America than Bin Ladin ever thought of doing..
