This photo gives me chills - White House watching video feed of the raid
This is an actual photo of the White House watching a video feed of the raid on Osama Bin Laden's house:

I obtained the above photo here:

and she is the only person covering part of her face which probably shows she is reacting to seeing violence - and I identify with her very human reaction more than anybody elses.

Neither face is without anxiety. I was thinking Obama looked a bit gray about the gills. Not terrified, but certainly not unconcerned.

She could have been wiping her face, she could have been thinking, all I see is a group of focused people.

You must understand the amount of pressure, at a later moment Obama could have been looking up while she was just staring at the TV.

You're making that call based on
a photo which captured a split second out of perhaps hours. In responding to threads here at DU today, I have caught myself with my hand unconsciously in the exact same place multiple times while thinking how to answer a thread. I was thinking about what I was reading each time. You weren't there and you can't hardly can conclude Hillary's internal thoughts from a photo snatched out of a snippet of time.

4. Look at Obama and Hillary -- intense. It must have been hard
to breathe. I heard it lasted 40 minutes - must have seemed like an eternity.

I wonder if we'll ever see the footage or if it's too sensitive.

10. I'm not so sure they are watching a video feed of the actual raid itself.
The photo's caption says: "President Barack Obama and Vice President Joe Biden, along with members of the national security team, receive an update on the mission against Osama bin Laden in the Situation Room of the White House, May 1, 2011. Please note: a classified document seen in this photograph has been obscured. (Official White House Photo by Pete Souza)"

"An update on the mission" does not necessarily equal "video feed of the raid".

Do you have some other source that indicates that they are watching "video feed of the raid"?

(Just curious, not trying to bust on you!)

They are all very powerful pictures... I love them... more here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/whitehouse/sets/72157626507626189/with/5680724572/

51. They are witnessing the consequences of a military decision to
take Bin Laden. Very gripping, telling photograph.
The "Mission Accomplished" photo op, is what is disturbing and sickening.

Obama made a decision, authorized use of force and ordered the execution of the plan. He then watched his decision being carried out.
I admire him.

58. I read somewhere here that this was really the biggest sacrifice he made for his country.
This decision. It COULD have gone the other way. And then he'd be held totally responsible, republi-CONS, freepers, teaRACISTS, and every one of those nuts who fancies himself/herself as president leading the assault. He would probably have been set back, politically, rather severely coming into an election year. He risked his presidency on this one. You've gotta know, his adversaries here at home would give ANYTHING for something substantial to throw at him that might really stick. They failed this time. He did not.
