as i type this from a Compaq/HP 6230 (yes, old dinosaur). and i think you COULD piss on this thing and it would keep running...so it was just in fun. sorry if i offended.

12. My refurbed HP business model laptop has lasted five years and counting.
I went refurb with a Care Pack because it gave me a three year warranty for about $75 less than what that particular model of laptop would have cost me new with no warranty.

I did have a system board replacement done under the Care Pack warranty, but it's been out of warranty for so long that I've been saving up the money to buy a new one when it finally dies.
