Before a friendly crowd at Colorado Christian University on Monday night, Sarah Palin lauded President George W. Bush for the killing of Osama bin Laden without mentioning President Obama's name a single time. Describing bin Laden as "the public face of Islamic terrorism," Palin said American troops' "courage and their determination brought us justice." She went on to say, "We thank President Bush for having made the right calls to set up this victory."

As the Denver Post reported, Palin did get her jabs in at Obama and his administration. She criticized the president's handling of the conflict in Libya for a "lack of clarity" and for overreaching. "We can't fight every war," she said. "We can't undo every injustice in the world. We don't go looking for dragons to slay."

Indeed, Palin's speech came off as a platform for her to lay out foreign policy vision. Here's more from Politico:

Mother Jones has the quote from Politico. I read the comments at the end of the article and a Mother Jones reader complained about Politico too.

She may avoid saying his name, but inside she's fuming and disturbed that he IS getting much credit nonetheless, and regardless of what she says, outside of course, her like-minded RWer whackjob sycophants.

There is absolutely no doubt in my mind whatsoever, that when Palin first heard the news that OBL had been found and killed, her very first thought/emotion was dismay and how she would be affected by soon needing to spin it away from Obama in her speeches.

I mean, there's NO WAY IN HELL she could spin this in such a way that she or her family is being victimized by the 'lame-stream' media', right?

OMG--many long years ago I attended that school when it had a different name. That was back in the day when Christians had a thing about lying (shouldn't oughta do that) and praying for those in authority (that was biblical). And a lot of students had the goal of spreading the gospel throughout the world, sorta like Jesus said, which included that social justice thing. Can't ever recall a politician speaking at the school. Wow--the times they have changed!

Oh, and Palin's the idiot I've always thought she was. Maybe she should follow the biblical admonition that women keep silent in church. And for her, everywhere else.
