3. Seems strange Bush wouldn't accept, but maybe he knows how foolish he'd look.
David Corn saying it was gracious for Obama to invite him, and maybe even gracious for Bush to decline so as to not appear as the third wheel.

out of the spotlight.

I said it before he left office: he wants to just stay in Dallas and get drunk whenever he wants and not actually do anything.

I think Obama was tremendously gracious to invite him, and Bush did the right thing by declining and making sure the moment belonged to the President.

This is the kind of maturity and class that the nation needs right now, and I thank both of them.
