Poll question: SHOULD Obama use bin Laden death to declare victory and pull out of Afghanistan (and Pakistan)?
Read the question carefully. It is what you think Obama SHOULD do. I'll post a companion one on what he WILL do.

For the SHOULD option, Obama doesn't even have to reference bin Laden to do it, he can just use the political atmosphere of the moment.

1. Yes, he should.
The thin excuse for going into afghanistan to blow the hell out of a civilian population is gone. Get out, do it now.

2. Yes, but the military-industrial complex which Ike warned us about wouldn't
like that, and they are the true rulers in the USA.

5. especially the oil companies that want that gas pipeline from Turkmenistan to Pakistan and the sea
that would run through Afghanistan.

Iran has made a competing deal with Pakistan which is probably why we suddenly started noticing Pakistan's support for al Qaeda and the Taliban, which we knew about before 9/11 but ignored.

3. I don't think it will happen, but yes he should.
Our 'reasons' for going to Afghanistan were to remove the Taliban and 'get' bin Laden. The Taliban was removed (that they are back is a testament to the desires of the Afghani populace, whether we like it or not) and to their resiliency) and bin Laden has been 'gotten'. Time to go home.

No poll is necessary, it's already happening.
