Ashcroft joins company once known as Blackwater


MOYOCK, N.C. (AP) -- Former U.S. Attorney General John Ashcroft is joining the security firm once known as Blackwater.

Investment group USTC Holdings, LLC, said Wednesday that Ashcroft is serving as an independent director for Moyock, N.C.-based Xe (ZEE) Services.

The director positions were created in December when USTC purchased Xe. The private company became famous as Blackwater, which provided guards and services to the U.S. government in Iraq, Afghanistan and elsewhere.

The company has been trying to rehabilitate its image since a 2007 shooting in Baghdad that killed 17 people, outraged the Iraqi government and led to federal charges against several Blackwater guards.

He has a Rolodex full of very high-level Republicans.

You hire John Ashcroft for the same reason you hire Dubya Bush: the people he's got access to.

He also has the address of the company that makes statue burkas. They might need some.

4. Further searching shows an incestous trail of ownership for that holding company.
A managing partner of Forte is a former partner of ....Blackwater.
And the Chertoff Group was involved with the purchase of Xe by USTC Holdings.

Blackwater/Xe has a long history now of front organizations and sub-organizations.
Good reading on them is found at this site, which tracks what the company is doing.
