The few times I've heard Gary Johnson, he seemed reasonable...then one of the first questions he was asked, he responded by saying we needed to eliminate the federal minimum wage, severely restrict unemployment benefits, do away with corporate income taxes, etc. I guess he's another one of those that wants us to return to pre-Great Depression policies. Soooo, he's full of shit, too.

In other words, the core stupid. Problem is, the more they pander to gain their vote, the more likely they'll be killing their GE chances when sane people start paying attention to what they've been saying to get the republican vote.

But I think they'd be almost as fucking stupid regardless :)

why compete with crazies this early in the cycle? Better to enter late and hope you can avoid going on the record before the convention. It's going to be the strangest republican primary, ever, IMHO.

As a Minnesotan let me say that it delights me to no end that he seems ineffective, even in this crowd of nutjobs and GOP bottom feeders.

His last turn at bat he lied about his MN record and convinced no one. No applause. Tepid response now to a rambling, unfocused and low impact statement about Gaddafi.

Obama taking down OBL really seems to have put a damper on their enthusiasm. Or are these people just the most uninteresting people on Earth?

I was eager to hear his answer to the question about whether he favors tariffs. I figured maybe he would support them, since that was mainly what funded our government prior to the institution of the (corporate) income taxes he wants to do away.

But, nope, he said no tariffs either. How the hell does he expect the government to fund itself?

I can't imagine any of these people coming close to debating Obama.

The idea of forcing US female minor citizens who are themselves crime victims into involuntary servitude, and supporting their further sexual exploitation, is related to the idea of egregious brutality by law enforcement HOW??

The very fact that you've just asserted that you'd support a person who desires the disenfranchisement of US females from their human, civil, and Constitutional rights, and who thinks that the women thusly forced into second class citizenship should have the "freedom" to allow themselves to be exploited for a short, nasty and brutal "career" that is, for the vast majority, the absolute last resort of poverty-stricken women, speaks volumes.

Man, Gay Johnson has been super disappointing to me. The government is not a business, it does not exist for the same reasons as a business, and it should not be run like a business.
