6. No way in hell that Ted Kennedy would have run with Wallace
No way that the Democratic Party would have put Wallace on their ticket much less on top.

9. None of the above?
Where do you make up your history? In the real 1968 Presidential election, Wallace did NOT have Ted Kennedy for a running mate, and he DID win 5 states (and NOT as a Democrat). But let's make your supposition a bit more modern. Had the 2008 race been between John McCain/Sarah Palin (R) and Eric Rudolph/Bernie Sanders (D) who would you have voted for?

10. Dick Gregory. I believe he was on the ballot in NYS.
Or was it Dr. Spock.

In any case , I'd probably be banned by DU for failing to support the party nominee.

13. Wallace/Kennedy....
....Wallace repented as governor in his old age and Kennedy would have beat sense into Wallace much earlier....

....I can withstand a little evil, but nixon/agnew is beyond my limit....checking nixon/agnew on a ballot would make me feel dirty....

14. Nixon was preferable to Wallace.
That, of course, is not saying much. Wallace was a real fascist.

15. Pointless hypothetical question...
Edited on Fri May-06-11 10:23 PM by regnaD kciN
While Wallace ran as a Democrat in the primaries in 1972, he never considered anything other than a third-party run in 1968. And, as others have noted, there's no way Kennedy or any other leading Democrat would have run on a ticket with Wallace under any conditions.

You may as well ask how you would vote next year if the choice was between Obama/Biden and Palin/Kucinich.

16. That election, among the silly choices you've posited, I'd have to go with Pat Paulsen. . .
