Youth "March for a Planet Worth Inheriting" - Sunday May 8th
Good news usually sinks like a stone in GD but here goes...If this group is any indication then the future is in good hands.

Kids vs Global Warming started 4 years ago in California and has grown to thousands of members around the globe. The spokesperson is now 16 years old but has already spoken at the U.N., the American Museum of Natural History and to policy makers and business leaders for years. His group put up poles on the California coast that show people the level to which seawater will rise if no action is taken. Al Gore has honored Alec Loorz as the youngest person accepted into his program and noted that his generation and his organization have a "moral authority" on climate change because they will have to live with the consequences.

Here is their latest update on the worldwide simultaneous marches:

Hey Guys -

I will make it quick. On Sunday we are marching. Everywhere.

Ojai, California? --- Check

Mount Everast? --- Check

Denver, Colorado? New York, New York? Bangkok? Portland? Hong Kong? Austin? Bucharest?

Check - Check - Check - Check - Check - Check - And CHECK!

Please sign up today, and thanks for all of your support!

- Alec Loorz

They are also working through the court system. They are serious about this issue.

Youth have the moral authority and the legal right, as the generation most affected by the climate crisis, to demand that our governments protect the atmosphere for our future.

5. I think the young...
should spend Mother's Day with Mom. Rub her feet, bring her something cool to drink. :loveya:

Couldn't this go down another day? Poor timing.
