Tonight's SNL is probably going to be epic

Set the DVR.

The opening skit and Weekend Update are going to be awesome.

Seth Myers first Weekend Update since he eviscerated Trump at the WHCD.

The first SNL since bin Laden was killed.

I bet they even have another spoof of "Fox and Friends" like they did a few weeks ago.

11. Perfect timing to do Braindead Palin...
who has had a lot to say this week, nothing that makes sense, of course, and Tina has a lot to work with.

19. She should NOT do the Sarah palin thing this week.
Seriously.

Tina is funny in about 100 ways.

Ignoring Palin would make Palin go nuts.

Although ... an alternative would be a skit in which we never SEE Palin, we just hear Tina doing Sarah's voice as Twitter messages are typed. That would work too.

21. I agree, but you know SNL runs everything into the ground.
They can't help it.

25. Fair point.
They could send Sarah to cover the Royal Wedding, with Trump, and the other GOP Presidential nuts.

There is so much fodder for this week's show I suspect that they are trying to figure out which bits would still work next week.

3. Thanks for the observation!
SNL has been off my viewing list for so long that I forget to consider the possibilities when events like these are in the news.

4. Does anyone know if there is a mirror site? (I think that's what it's called.)
I'm in Europe and so get a message that videoclips from the show are "not available in your country".

Thanks!

5. A couple of weeks ago
there was a skit on Weekend Update with a James Carville impersonator. I am still laughing. It was hilarious!

"First, I break into his car and leave a black butterfly, so he knows he is marked."

You had to see it.

7. I don't have much hope that they'll succeed, but we'll see
How about having Obama morph into "The Rock Obama" as usual, then re-morphing into the REAL Obama who is actually greater and more powerful than "The Rock Obama"?

"Hey Seth Meyers, remember that joke you told about me and Bin Laden last weekend?"

"Hey Sarah Palin, remember when you said I was "pussy footing" around?"

"Hey Trump. Remember when you were relevant, 10 days ago?"

Etc, etc, etc..

14. What about President Obama as Shaft taking down bin Laden
Edited on Sat May-07-11 10:29 AM by madville
What about President Obama as Shaft taking down bin Laden single handedly while wearing a leather jacket and pants? Have the Shaft music playing but change it to "Obama" along with the crappy fight scene stunts of him and Osama duking it out?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NiCB2isZcRM

"Obama's his name and Obama's his game" (Shaft's his name and Shaft's his game)

"The Taliban wanted Afghanistan back but they got Obama up to here" (The mob wanted Harlem back but they got Shaft up to here)

16. It'll be epic only until the first moment when someone here interprets a skit to be
poking fun of BO, or MO for that matter. Then, it'll be trashed and the boo birds will show up to spew their opinion that it hasn't been funny since the 70's.

Just my opinion, based on past observation...

or leaves in the 2nd round because Matlock is on, he should... no, he'll still get his ass knocked out.
