OBL-6 years in hiding/4 yr. during the Bush admin. What did they know,when did they know it?

So there is all this talk about Obama and Pakistan and so on...but the guy was living in that compound for as least 5 years, closer to 6.

The mantra we all heard was a cave, rocks, and so on and so forth.

I didn't buy it then and I'm not buying the idea that Bush and Rumsfeld and Co. didn't know more.

No facts, just a hunch.

1. I'm sort of hoping...
That they'll find something in the bin Laden documents recovered that will tell us why Bush never went after him. My guess is that it had to do with the Bush family close ties with the bin Ladens. W likely assured papa bin Laden he wouldn't capture or kill his son as a favor.

12. I'm betting Pakistan has us by the short hairs.
They have been using the threat of nukes falling into Al Qaeda hands as their trump card for ages. That is how they get "aid" money out of us.

9. No government official or military official ever said OBL was in a cave.
That was just crap from internet bloggers and lazy media types. Leon Panetta has laid out the timelime of the hunt for OBL in several interviews unless you think he is lying too.

25. They are saying 6 years in that house. I heard a report that CIA was alerted
to this house/compound years ago but they ended up dismissing it as obl hide out because of assumption it would be heavily guarded if he were there.

If that is true guess we can't blame Pakistan officials for not making same assumption.

But who knows if it is true...
