Boehner Turns Hard Right And Demands TRILLIONS For A Debt Limit Hike
As noted earlier, John Boehner is in town today to pitch the GOP debt limit strategy to Wall Streeters.
According to POLITICO, the House Speaker is set to take a hard right turn and demand trillions of dollars worth of cuts in order to get a debt ceiling hike, saying failure to link the two would be "irresponsible".
Granted, the cuts won't be right away, but to get to trillions worth of long-term cuts would require Obama to agree to massive structural changes to entitlements, which is something that's never going to happen.
There's no doubt that Wall Street is deeply concerned about the debt ceiling issue, and the (remote) possibility of a technical default by the US in the event that it weren't raised.
Tomorrow, Eric Cantor comes to New York and will probably deliver a similar message.

3. We just need to back to the way republicans "make a budget"
take the military stuff out (Obama put it back in when he took office)..

It's like making a budget without including your mortgage.. Your bottom line looks pretty beefy, until you have to pay the mortgage..

If Boner wants the budget "under control", Obama should call his bluff and take it back to the way Bush did things..

5. Where are the jobs?

Impose taxes on imported goods and support American manufacturing, and we will not have a deficit.

Impose taxes on the hedge fund managers and we will not have a deficit.

According to Les Leopold, hedge fund manager John Paulson made $4.2 hour dollars per minute and paid an estimated 15% tax on his earnings. That is why we have a budget deficit, Rep. Boehner.

Woops that is his hourly rate, not his rate per minute.
