Newest CN Tower attraction: Take a walk on the outside
I dunno about you guys, but this is definitely not for me!

TORONTO — If the glass floor makes you squeamish, the newest attraction at Toronto's CN Tower is probably not for you.

Starting this summer, thrill-seekers will be able to circle the outside of the Tower's main pod, 116 storeys — 356 metres — above the ground, on a 1.5-metre-wide ledge connected only by a safety harness, it was announced Monday.

Officially known as EdgeWalk at the CN Tower, adventure lovers will walk "hands-free" in groups of six to eight while attached to an overhead safety rail via a trolley and harness system. With the help of guides, visitors will even be able to dangle over the edge, leaning back over the city with nothing but air beneath them.

3. I'm surprised the harnesses aren't actually bungees
Forget that! I could probably - albeit unwillingly - handle the glass floor, but this hold no attraction... :scared:

I'd do it. Unless it's like $100 or something.

8. I wonder....
Can vomit falling 116 storeys kill someone if it hits them in the head?

13. Sort-of-amusing CN Tower story....
So it's 1975 and a buddy of mine and I somehow get these two young ladies to spend the weekend with us in Toronto before our college graduation, and I know nothing about this town at all whatsoever, except that it's just a few hours drive from school. So we pile in the car and start driving and after stopping at Niagara Falls, we proceed into Toronto on the Q.E.W.. Anyway, it's a pretty foggy day and we're driving along and I see this triangular base up ahead of me and nothing else, so as I drive closer I'm trying to see the top and it just keeps going and going and going and all of a sudden, there's a scream from the right-hand seat and I look ahead and jam on my brakes and came as close to rear-ending a car as I ever have, since the traffic was at a standstill due to some construction up ahead. Meanwhile, you couldn't have taken a 3x5 card and placed it between the car ahead of me and mine. A miss is as good as a mile I said...

The tower, I believe, was not yet open to the public, but it was just remarkable to see for the first time.

I've been back many times and absolutely cannot walk on the glass floor...it would then require years of therapy to overcome...

19. I sucked it up and did it.
But I had to talk myself into it and it wasn't an easy discussion. There were kids jumping up and down on it.

16. The Glass Floor freaked me out… Almost. And I'm not scared of heights.
I don't think that a walk around is for me.

When I was up there, many, many years ago, I could see Niagara on the horizon… It's way fucking up there.
