Corporate America has convinced Obama and his USTR that we can get out of the hole by simply digging it deeper. I'm sure this new set of Free Trade pigs will be loaded with makeup and lipstick by the corporate media when they come up for vote in a few months.

Lobbyists from large companies, such as Caterpillar and Cargill, have begun efforts in a final push to pass horrendous trade deals with Panama, Colombia, and South Korea.
The sane alternative to this madness, the TRADE Act, sponsored by Sen. Sherrod Brown, remain strapped in red tape while big business greases the wheels of Congress to vote upon more NAFTA-style “free” trade agreements.
"Just as NAFTA-style trade agreements hurt working people on both sides of the border, comprehensive trade reform would help working people on both sides of the border." Oregon Fair Trade Coalition member Arthur Stamoulis said.
These deals have a litany of problems for all nations involved. First and foremost, these deals take American jobs and increase our trade deficit. Anyone who is patriotic and interested in his/her own self-preservation should realize this fact.

Trade is not about letting robbers take everything you have, but finding mutually beneficial arrangements. The only winners in these deals are the large corporations pushing for them, as they increase their profits and bottom lines at the expense of everyone else, thanks to the flawed trade system we have in this nation. America doesn't need to abandon its last defenses, it needs to strengthen them and seek out alternatives to trade methods that have been proven failures.
