Arnold Schwarzenegger, Maria Shriver announce separation

Former Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger and his wife, Maria Shriver, have separated, with Shriver moving out of their Brentwood mansion while the two determine the next step in their 25-year marriage.

Shriver has been residing apart from the actor-turned-politician for the last few weeks. The former first couple confirmed the separation in a joint statement released Monday after questions were raised by The Times.

"This has been a time of great personal and professional transition for each of us," the statement read. "After a great deal of thought, reflection, discussion and prayer, we came to this decision together. At this time, we are living apart while we work on the future of our relationship.

He wrote on his Facebook that she helped bring suffering to the State of Ca and therefore deserved her own suffering. I called him out on it and he defriended me.

He was a corporatist douchebag who helped Enron screw Californians out of hundreds of millions of dollars and she stayed with him because she wanted to be the first lady of California.

He was fucking everything in sight and she stayed with him because she wanted to be the first lady of California.

She used her position as first lady to flout the law.

When she was no longer the first lady, she had no use for him, and she dumped him.

She is a no-talent poseur who got everything she had because of her name and family connections.

I do hope his movie potential has seriously declined.

Arnold was governor for a little over 7 years and that kept him busy. In the meantime, she got used to a different routine and had less time with him. They probably grew apart did not realize that until his schedule changed.

Saw her on CNN and she's showing her age, maybe Ahhnuld found a younger Maria to "shine his helmet" - he did say that, I heard, when he'd have some starlet (or two) in his trailer..

I just read a couple days ago that made me wonder if it was Arnold and Maria. Said something about the husband taking a "stunning blonde" out in public when not even seperated from the (brunette) wife.

his job as gov. is over, she's at a place where she's re-examining her life. This was probably brewing for awhile, and the time is finally right for her to act.

On The View the other day they were talking about how the day after Valentine's Day and Mother's Day are big breakup days.

electorate voted him in. So, it's their own damn fault the state is in the shitter. I like Arnold and don't know much about Maria but they will survive.
