1. Shows Whose Really Calling The Shots...
Edited on Tue May-10-11 06:17 AM by KharmaTrain
The GOTB is so wedded to the rich it risks total political suicide with its draconian "spending cuts" (translation: destruction of the government down a bathtub). A report I heard said that there were many in that room that left shaking their heads as they know that it's not just spending that's the problem but a major revenue shortfall due to the booosh tax cuts to the rich. They also know "trickle down" and "Raygunomics" failed...they made their billions thanks to it.

Boner is tone deaf. He and Ryan are now the face of destroying medicare and ready to send the economy into the abyss just so their big money puppetmasters can shirk their responsibilities and pass the burdens to the working classes. May he keep pushing...the push back at the ballot box next year will flip the House back to the Democrats.

:hi:

2. Just made a call to the speaker's voice mail.
It's 202-225-0600, in case you are interested. If you call during regular office hours, you may get a human being, so be nice to said human being.

On this particular call, I left a message about the debt ceiling, the fragility of the recovery, and the fact that when the GOP controlled all three branches of government, they didn't adopt a frugal path, and their current one is equally reckless.

3. I was reading about it in this mornings paper.
The pukies don't care who they hurt as long as the already rich gets a bigger slice of the pie.
Why do rich people want more and more when they have more than they can use already? I guess the pull of greed is mighty strong

5. so - cuts to medicare and medicaid are on the table - but tax increases are not
so according to boehner, the problem can be bourne by seniors and the poor, but not spread among all (to include the wealthy).

How magnanimous. How generous. How Republican.
