Wisconsin Judge To Defendant: You Are Gayer Than A Sweet Smelling Jockstrap

A Wisconsin judge on Monday said he didn't believe a molestation defendant who insisted he was heterosexual, making his point with references to a jock strap and a prom dress. Judge Philip Kirk of Waupaca commented before sentencing former New London school bus driver Delton Gorges to seven years in prison. During the sentencing hearing, the judge said "I think you were born gayer than a sweet smelling jock strap," Kirk said. Gorges, who drove a school bus for 33 years, pleaded no contest to four counts of fourth-degree sexual assault. "I think that if anyone believes that in the last 10 years or 15 years all of a sudden you developed an interest in homosexuality and young boys, then I must have looked ravishing in my prom dress this year," Kirk said.

It has been argued that most child molesters engage in hetersexual activity with their peers. It's not about sex, it's about power. Rape in every sense of the word.

He should face censure for this idiotic comment.

We just had a traffic court judge come down very hard on a woman in a wheelchair who was fighting a ticket for parking in a handicapped spot. Her placard had fallen off her mirror so she got a ticket. She protested that the placard was valid, but had fallen off. The judge was having none of it and fined her the maximum amount plus court costs. Remarkably, the judge is also in a wheelchair. Even more remarkable was the fact that a news crew was at the courthouse the day this woman got slammed dunked by the judge and they followed him out to his car which was parked in a handicapped spot. Guess what? The SOB did not have a placard anywhere visible on his car. The crew asked him about it and he told them "Well, I didn't get a ticket did I"? He then put a handicapped placard up and drove off. Once the video aired of the judge at his car, he was censured.

How many people will read or hear Judge Kirk's comments and come to the erroneous conclusion that celibacy causes pedophilia? Or the erroneous conclusion that homosexuality and pedophilia go hand in hand?

Too, I wonder how long it will take for Judge Kirk to issue a statement implying that he had good intentions in delivering that ignorant, myth-ridden, "look at ME!" lecture.
