It's a CT story and it sure smells like a bad case of cronyism
Amid Sacrifice, A Crony Job For Stratton

I know that the author of this piece, Kevin Rennie, is a former Republican, but paying a former state rep, who did jail time for DUI, a $100,000 a year while the governor is preparing layoff notices for the public employee unions, stinks of cronyism.

FYI, Dan Malloy is the first Dem governor of CT since 1988.
