Strange... the Deficit Commission voted for a public option

Strange... the Deficit Commission voted for a public option
for health insurance, but the "Dems" and Repubs are not even debating it. The Republicans are frothing like rabid skunks over the other recommendations of that fringe-right bipartisan commission - such as gutting Social Security and Medicare. And Obama has signaled his eagerness to follow the Commission's recommendations by gutting Social Security for those under 55.

But no mention of the public option.

I wonder why? Perhaps the public option recommendation was on the last page of the report and someone forgot to photocopy it?

5. 14 votes would mean an automatic vote by Congress
But a majority recommendation is still a majority recommendation, no?
