Frontline: What is the Secretive U.S. "Kill/Capture" Campaign?
An entire generation of Afghans is growing up under kill/capture. Some fear the strategy is creating a group of young insurgents more militant than those who came before them, more interested in fighting an America that routinely raids the homes of their family and friends.

Even those in the Afghan government are concerned. "To some degree operations are conducted in a better coordinated manner," admits President Hamid Karzai's chief of staff Mohammad Daudzi. "But a lot of mistakes are there and every day we are shivering, that God knows what more mistakes may happen."

1. Pretty much anyone we kill is labeled an "insurgent" or "terrorist"
It really does not matter who these people are at this point. We kill, we label, we move on to the next pile of dead bodies. As far as I can tell, the Taliban were not part of the Al Queda attacks on 9/11.

3. What is its legal basis would be better examined.
Do we have to just accept that it is part of life, then try to figure out exactly what it is, the secrecy effectively blurring the picture, by design?

IMO, it is lawless murder that might attempts to force or convince us to condone. It is unjust, mocks the rule of law, and breeds more violence. State terrorism.
