the state is all screwed up because of gerrymandering.

2. FL has always had more registered Democrats
and yes the state is very gerrymandered, but a lot of those Democrats are 80 year old men named Bubba who live up in the panhandle and never got around to going to the county courthouse to change their party registration.

The last Democrat they voted for was probably Jimmy Carter in 1976.

3. A lot of the independents are independents for the purpose of claiming to be independent
when they're actually just die-hard Republicans.
