7. Often I have wondered why

none of us church-goers from the 1970s and before ever heard about any rapture? Maybe when Reagan untied the hands of business, they were able find a new way to capitalize off God. I don't think God announced any rule changes in the 80s.

11. The rapture has been a part of christian dogma since the early church...

...every millenium, every time there's a cataclysmic change in society it comes to the surface. I was raised by a pentecostal minister in the '50s and '60s, and I'm here to tell you it was a very big part of our dogma

Here's how it works: The person who is expecting to be raptured pays this guy like $100. In the event of rapture, the guy comes to your house and rescues your pets. So they don't, yanno, starve to death or something.
