2. You'd think someone whose living depends on the First Amendment
would know better.

But, it's a good line.

3. I am betting at least one of the Republicans that gets to see the
photos will question it's validity.

7. Apparently that Zapruder guy filmed JFK in other "contexts"
bet that film never gets released.

5. Other then the ostrich with a head in the sand
Why would anyone oppose release of it, personally I will pass, I have seen enough dead people for a life time.

But, it did happen, everyone knows it happened, why not release documentation into the public?

Was it an assassination squad?, I don't think anyone believes it wasn't. And while the disregard of morality and ethics involved in ginning up sin squads makes me queasy, I can hardly say i am upset that Bin Laden is dead.

After all, we have the president's word that only American Citizens on foreign soil need fear them.

8. And yet the Zapruder film was released to the public
I guess Americans were made of sterner stuff back then.

9. In The First Place - Many People Were On The Scene And Witnessed The JFK Shooting Firsthand......
so releasing the Zapruder film was no biggie. With respect to the OBL pics - I don't think showing them to Americans is what we are concerned with. The problem comes when those that want to fan the flames of terrorism get a hold of the pics. They would be used to make OBL a martyr and could be used as recruiting tools for future terrorists.

This has nothing to do with Americans being made of 'sterner stuff' back then.
