Sex offender: I won't 'ever deserve' parole
A Bay State child rapist imprisoned for life for brutally attacking three Holyoke boys and raping two of them in 1988 admitted during his parole hearing yesterday that he wasn’t fit to be sprung.

LaDale Strange — who was 17 years old when he committed the heinous crimes — told the Parole Board he didn’t think there was anything he could “do or say” to “ever deserve” being granted parole.

“I just don’t believe there’s anything I could ever do,” Strange said.

The con’s admission came after Parole Board chief Josh Wall prepared to read the details of the savage assaults and told Strange he could tell him how much time was “fair” punishment.

“I don’t think you need to do that,” Strange said.

Strange, who pleaded guilty to the attacks, kidnapped and assaulted the boys, ages 7 and 8, within a four-week span.

Well, at least he's honest about his prospects -- you'd think he'd at least feel some remorse for costing Massachusetts tax-payers for his upkeep for the rest of his miserable life...

2. The cost of keeping him incarcerated is miniscule compared
to any crime future crimes he could commit against children. Yes, at least he's honest. Sometimes its not about the money. How many of these serial offenders do need to be kept off of the streets and aren't?

4. Good point.
I guess there's really no price you can put on public safety from violent predators.

I can only imagine the burden that the decisions of those Parole Board members have -- after all, if they release someone who goes on to commit another violent crime, it reflects very badly on them.

3. He needs to stay locked up, then.
They can release a pot dealer instead.

5. Not a chance of releasing a pot dealer ...

it's usually more politically correct to simply build more prisons, as long as they can be staffed by minimum-wage, non-union, non-pension-eligible guards.

:hi:
