Standard of living by countries.

Does anyone know any sites that list official standard of living rates by countries? I tried Google, but all that seems to come up are either old stats or stuff posted with no source. To be honest though I'm not the biggest fan of the standard of living measured by GDP as it doesn't take into account the wealth distribution of a country, so if anyone knows of a different system in use that would be good too.
