You ever get stressed?
With the years and years of war?

With Republicans running up the deficit with war and tax cuts to buy the 2004 election and telling us that deficits didn't really matter?

With the media largely compliant with the Bush war in Iraq?

With AGs like Ashcroft and Gonzales?

With 2010 RepubliCon candidates blaming the unemployed for their own unemployment and getting elected the majority in the House by running against the huge deficit that they created?

With unlimited campaign spending by corporations and SCOTUS turning to a hard right.

With the Koch Teaparty, Sarah Palin, and Ryan's budget targeting social security, medicare, medicaid?

With rising oil prices and food prices?

With republiCons blocking any attempts to solve part of the budget deficit by ending the Bush tax cuts?

With RepubliCons threatening to shut down the government? Or making it default?

Do any of these things begin to take a toll on your sensibilities after so long?

1. Maybe you need a hobby
I play the guitar, take my anger out playing violent videos games, watch baseball, read comic books and have been known to do some model railroading from time to time.

2. As long as we're stressed they have no need to worry about us......
But when we see ourselves as "Already Dead".....then they'll shit their pants and run !

6. Tell me how that works because I'm interested.
The part about seeing ourselves as "Already Dead"? I'm willing to try it.

I already had a plan in place. On May 22nd, the day after the most selfish people on earth don't get raptured, then the rest of us who just want to live in some peace in a sharing, non-hateful world will all gather outside and let God really rapture us before their jealous eyes. Finally it will dawn on the 'left behinders' that they were the 'left behind' bastards all along. Surely that will leave some kind of impression on them.

8. Then isn't it time to do something about it?
Edited on Fri May-13-11 10:45 PM by Jack Sprat
Aren't we a society anymore?

Can't we unite together and gather together as a huge front and encircle the Congress and scream as loud and as long as it takes for an end to all this? Because if we don't show some real emotion and some real rage for once in our lives, then nobody is going to ever listen. Nobody is going to listen until we scream louder than a united front has ever screamed before.

10. You may have noticed.... I *DO* try to do something about it.
That is why I get attacked.

As you can see from your other responses, what people want to push at you is PERSONAL SOLUTIONS. Like it has NOTHING to do with the society.

THAT is a big part of what is wrong in this country... RUGGED INDIVIDUALISM, rather than coming together in cooperation.

And, "stress relief" is a big profit-making industry.

We need to seriously think about who we really are.

11. WHOA, large font may not have been the best idea
Of course members here are frustrated. And many are actively working for change, though we know the process is slow. Sometimes it seems like one step forward an two steps back. But we go on:

ALDONZA: Why do you do these things?

DON QUIXOTE
What things?

ALDONZA
These ridiculous... the things you do!

DON QUIXOTE
I hope to add some measure of grace to the world.

ALDONZA
The world's a dung heap and we are maggots that crawl on it!

DON QUIXOTE
My Lady knows better in her heart.

ALDONZA
What's in my heart will get me halfway to hell.
And you, Señor Don Quixote-you're going to take
such a beating!

DON QUIXOTE
Whether I win or lose does not matter.

ALDONZA
What does?

DON QUIXOTE
Only that I follow the quest.

ALDONZA
(spits)
That for your Quest!
(turns, marches away; stops, turns bock
and asks, awkwardly)
What does that mean... quest?

DON QUIXOTE
It is the mission of each true knight...
His duty... nay, his privilege!
To dream the impossible dream,
To fight the unbeatable foe,
To bear with unbearable sorrow
To run where the brave dare not go;
To right the unrightable wrong.

To love, pure and chaste, from afar,
To try, when your arms are too weary,
To reach the unreachable star!

This is my Quest to follow that star,
No matter how hopeless, no matter how far,
To fight for the right
Without question or pause,
To be willing to march into hell
For a heavenly cause!

And I know, if I'll only be true
To this glorious Quest,
That my heart will lie peaceful and calm
When I'm laid to my rest.

And the world will be better for this,
That one man, scorned and covered with scars,
Still strove, with his last ounce of courage,
To reach the unreachable stars!

Love & Peace,
pinboy3niner
