GOP will once again MONOPOLIZE the Sunday AM Talk Shows.
Rachel pointed out there will 9 GOP to ONE Democrat, Senator Durbin.

Why do we even bother with elections? If every Democrat
stayed home this election, Obama will be President
and the Republicans will have House and Senate.

One Democratic President to 435 House and 100 Semate Republicans.
America will be established as a RW Country.

2. The sunday shows are nothing
They don't matter, except to the chattering class. Ignore them, just as 99% of the rest of the country does.

Frankly I wish Democrats would just stop going on these shows. Waste of time.

4. I think it matters more than you know
It is the repetition of propaganda that makes people think that the right wing is right, not what the facts really are.
And we ignore this at our peril, as Fascist Germany should have fought us.

7. Again, who watches these things?
I just don't think people care much about them. And the catapult the propaganda 24/7 on all the cable news channels anyway.

6. To you they are nothing perhaps, but they are considered the
most important television of the week.

17. Maybe by the punditocracy. They love to see themselves on TV.
But if you asked an average American what the most important show of the week was, they would probably say Dancing with the Stars or American Idol. If you asked them what political show was the most important, I'll bet that none of the sunday shows would be in the top 3. IMHO.

3. I am so close to cancelling my cable subscription
If I have to pay for crap I can't control and I'm sick of crap...why should I keep it?
There is hardly anything Worth watching these days so "changing the channel" is not an option.
I am reduced, by virtue on non-stop anti-American repub propaganda, to pay a lot for nothing.

21. I did just that.
I realized I was paying $80 every month for the package that includes HBO, mostly to watch 'Real Time'. Couldn't justify it. I can see most of that show online eventually anyway.

5. Same feeling I get when I hear
corp's are sitting on record amounts of cash, why? If they are just waiting until the pubs take complete power, what is the point of elections.

9. gotta push the propaganda
Edited on Sat May-14-11 09:56 AM by Botany
Obama has:

stopped another great depression .... we still need more and better paying jobs

saved the auto industry

killed bin Laden

and what have the republicans done? NOTHING BTW why would any women ever vote for a republican again?

So the corporate media is pushing the republicans big time now .... just like they killed the Ohio 2004 story.

BTW part 2 .... why interview all the bush people who failed to get OBL? after the Super Bowl they spend 90% of the
air time on the winning team not the losing team.

10. I never bother to watch Sunday AM Talk Shows. I used to watch Tim Russert, but
quit when Gregory took over. I don't care much for him. Fox is garbage, and the rest are so so ... I turned them all off.

the blow-dry 'readers' they hire as 'reporters' are all on their knees to kiss RepubliCorp ass.

Disgraceful.

The RepubliCorporate Media is among America's most poisoned institutions.

16. There are no Sunday "talk" shows
Edited on Sat May-14-11 10:09 AM by randr
There always has been the Republican/Military spin machine. The discussion many times dominates the news for days and dismisses any debate. It is time to tune them out!
Besides the CBS Sunday Morning Show is one of the best news journals of the week.
