Bush-Cheney Kept Bin Laden Alive
http://readersupportednews.org/pm-section/24-24/5918-bush-cheney-kept-bin-laden-alive

Bush-Cheney needed Bin Laden to stay alive.

By maintaining the Bin Laden fear object, Bush-Cheney were able to ram through a ridiculous Republican agenda of: corporate tax breaks, spying on US citizens, frivolous tax breaks for the rich, illegal torture chambers located around the world,
close down public access to government information, pass the unconstitutional un-Patriot Act,
destroy all working people’s incomes by giving corporate tax incentives to American businesses to take your jobs overseas,
deregulate Wall Street, Banking, Financial sectors so those corporations could plunder and destroy, and then demand that you the taxpayer pay for the corporate criminality.

In other words, the usual Republican agenda; profit is more important than you.

With the fear object of Bin Laden to dangle before the 9/11 hypnotized public, Bush-Cheney repeatedly diminished your civil liberties, your income future, and your ability to control corporate malfeasance. Bush-Cheney implemented torture programs that we now know were not to get information but to torture some poor person till, to stop being tortured, they said some lie that Bush-Cheney needed someone to say. Or to torture people to get compliant brainwashed entities who would do whatever the Bush-Cheney regime wanted them to do.

1. That's what I've been saying all along. They needed their boogie man.

2. Ummm, this is some guy's post...
written without a lick of corroboration.

As much as I despise Bush and Cheney, I cringe when anyone offers stuff like this as some sort of definitive word in anything.

6. You must be joking - what they did was a mish mash of misdirection
and deceit. Osama was a big piece of their hocus pocus look over there strategy.

They a knew a good thing when they saw it and kept the threat alive to fuel the mass hysteria. Osama did something that they could never have pulled off by themselves.

10. I think it's different than that.

Maybe just a notion, but Bush family and Bin Laden/Saudi's are close.

Maybe after 9/11 there was an agreement between the Bushies and Pakistanis and Bin Laden to let him go for the sake of the relationship between the 2 families.

Obama wasn't bound by that but it could explain why they killed him and also scrubbed his residence of any incriminating evidence that showed the connection

11. Well they certainly propped him up as an evil doer even if their families were tight.

Osama's own family was not exactly keen on his activities. He was a thorn in their side.

3. Everybody ('cept DU) forgot about Florida and Stolen Election 2000 after 9-11.
And then Bush, Cheney and their cronies got their way, started illegal wars, emptied the Treasury and got away with the loot.

4. Iraq war = cost plus non competitive contracts for .....
.... all the jobs that military used to do "in house" but under defense secretary Dick Cheney
they were outsourced to private firms that Dick (Haliburton / KBR) and his friends could all make
money from.

5. Some at DU seem to want to forget that reality too, alas..
POTUS Obama, however good his intentions, is limited by what info and range of choices enter his bubble.

Bush, Cheney, and the neo-conservatives won their sick agenda despite all the failures.

I would rather see more politics for the greater good than real poli-tick by neo-liberals or neo-conservatives.

7. Wait, so they were evil geniuses instead of being incompetent?

8. Incompetence
is a catch-all excuse intended to quell any talk of corruption. In regard to the Iraq invasion we were told the CIA was incompetent and misled the administration with bad intelligence. The Bush administration was incompetent with the occupation policies and that led to all the chaos.
