Does the label "wingnut" apply to all Rethugs or just fringers?!1

I sent the link to the Meghan McCAIN-BecKKK slapdown to the local radio wingnut with the comment, "I love it when wingnuts eat their own," and he replied that John Mc5planes is not a classified wingnut, "whatever he is."

I replied:



Yeah, I even paused myself when I typed Mc5planes together with BecKKK under the same “wingnut” umbrella.

I know that “wingnut” applies to fringers: Birchers, Skinheads, TeaBaggers, Minutemen, and KKK. Haha!1 You would probably quarrel with some of those I’ve included here.

Whereas, “moderate” Rethugs are: Country clubbers, but who else – all Rich but internationalist types?

But as we’ve batted back and forth when you’ve taken umbrage at my labeling BecKKK or somebody as “yours” and you claim those are NOT yours, sometimes I’m just playing fast and loose and using umbrella words instead of precise words.

In other words, as Shrub (and the Bible) said, “You’re either FOR us or AGAINST us,” so anybody who is never going to vote Democratic is, to me, SOMETHING, one word of something, and if the word Rethug is too mild to apply to the Fringers, well, then I go the other way with shorthand and apply the MOST PEJORATIVE of the choices (“wingnut”) to ALL of them starting from the middle of the whole political spectrum on the Right hand side.

As for what Mc5planes is, really, he is much like Shrub: The offspring of a privileged family who was a fuck-up for most of his young adult life. He’s less about politics than about being privileged. Do you see him as really standing for any particular principle?

Besides Jeb, Mc5planes was probably the only one who could have attracted some Hispanic support. And I detest him for that.

I have several repub friends and while we don't see eye to eye on politics, they aren't extremists like most of those idiots in the House and Senate.

Pretty common, I'm betting.

Just most of them.
