FRAUD – 4 – Spread Sheets & Vote Bags
May 13th, 2011 | Author: Dennis Kern

.............

Kloppenburg did better than Obama in 10 small counties (total 50,000 votes) but worse in 10 large counties (550,000 votes).

In Milwaukee County, Obama had 67.3%, Kloppenburg 56.4% of 229,000 votes. Why the 10.9% decline?

In Waukesha County, Obama had 36.6%, Kloppenburg 26.2% of 125,000 votes. Why the 10.4% decline?

In Waukesha, McCain defeated Obama by 59,813 votes out of 233,435 recorded.

Prosser defeated Kloppenburg by a nearly identical 59,505 votes out of just 125,070.

Quite a gain. .......

3. what sense does it make. the state is angry at repugs. better in the smaller areas
where logic would have her do better in bigger areas. she did significantly worse.

it doesnt make sense

if you steal votes, you take from fewer with larger gain.

but dems regularly do better in the larger areas.

6. Obama probably did a lot better energizing his base
African Americans and Young people. Though this turned into a liberal vs conservative - Dem vs Repub thing, it still wasnt your run of the mill election. Those two groups probably came out way more for Obama then they did Kloppenburg. You also need to remember that Prosser is an incumbent and Obama vs McCain had no incumbent

8. Check the ward data for the cities. This is a testable. The anomaly is definite.

2. You're comparing apples to Jeeps.
The entire political climate changed from 2008 to 2010/11. This was also a non-partisan spring election that included an incumbent judge with 20 years political experience in the state going up against a virtual unknown liberal candidate who was polling 30 points behind 8 weeks before the election.

Waukesha County leans very heavily red. I have never met a Republican from Waukesha who is running from Walker. Not one. In fact, they are fucking RABID here.

By and large the Republicans jumping ship are the ones who are public sector workers, there aren't many of those in these parts. Nate Silver parsed the numbers at the county level, and if he went to the city level you'd see those are mostly in 2 or 3 communities here.

The other group jumping ship are union workers. Again, very few here. And honestly, even the union workers here are private sector hard-core Republicans who hate public sector workers and will cut off their noses to spite their faces.

This is a Repubican stronghold. The land of McMansions gaudily built on beautiful lakes and megachurches and private academy for their kids and country clubs and gated communities and confederate flags (YES, I swear) proudly waving in the wind on the homes in the "poorer" areas.

4. K&R because the whole election surprise save by "Human Error" Republican operative Kathy Nickolaus.
The Republican operative whose "whoops, human error" governing principle had been used quite a few times in the past.

Irritating that Kathy "Human Error" Nickolaus was quoted as though this was an isolated incident when she had been involved in quite a few such whoopsie doopsies in the past.

5. Are you sure it was the refs, or do you think it might have had to do something
with execution of the game plan?
