Our Next Senator (Feingold, Paul Ryan's "Medicare plan is ballot-box poison")
By Gerald S Glazer

A prospective Ryan-Feingold race would likely focus on Ryan's deficit reduction program, which includes massive cuts to Medicare for those now under 55. Ryan has won acclaim from national pundits for his proposals, but the Medicare plan is ballot-box poison. That is because most people expect to eventually benefit from Medicare, and will be deeply dissatisfied with Ryan's proposal to replace it with an insurance voucher. The Republicans can win without the votes of the poor and public employees, but they cannot win without the support of people who expect to become old someday-----there are just too many of them.

That is why I expect Russ Feingold to be Wisconsin's once and future senator.
