36. The Story Of Sick pRick...
Rick Santorum’s Own ‘Fetus Jar’ Story

It’s been some time since Rick Santorum has been relevant to politics (NOTE: he still isn’t), so it’s easy to forget the stupid things he’s said about his main issues, protecting the fetuses and attacking the gays. Here’s something we forgot about: Santorum has his very own fetus story, but unlike Barbara Bush, when his wife miscarried in 1996, they didn’t stick the thing in a jar and put it on display. Santorum wrapped the dead fetus in a blanket, took it out of the hospital, and “spent several hours kissing and cuddling Gabriel with his three siblings.” Sure, a miscarriage is a sad and rather strange experience for anyone to suffer, but, uh: “They took photos, sang lullabies in his ear and held a private Mass.” That should be a cute family album to show primary voters! What kind of clothes did they dress it up in? Did they make the fetus the altar boy? Read More Here:

http://wonkette.com/443167/why-he-runs-rick-santorums-own-fetus-jar-story

Dead babies

When his wife bore a premature child who only lived two hours, they brought its carcass home to bond with their seven living children. In her book, Letters to Gabriel: The True Story of Gabriel Michael Santorum, she brags that the demented couple brought the deceased zombie corpse home from the hospital and introduced the rotting flesh to their living children as "your brother Gabriel" and slept with the body overnight before returning it to the hospital.

69. Sen. Kerrey: "Santorum: That's Latin for Asshole."
Even eight years ago Sen. Bob Kerrey (D-NE) had Santorum pegged:

May 1, 2003
Santorum: That's Latin for Asshole

Rick Santorum had only been in the senate for a few weeks when Bob Kerrey, then Senator from Nebraska, pegged him. "Santorum, that's Latin for asshole."
(snip)
In 1998, investigative reporter Ken Silverstein fingered Santorum as the dumbest member of congress in a story for The Progressive. Considering the competition, that's an achievement of considerable distinction.

Even Santorum's staff knows the senator is a vacuous boob prone to outrageous gaffs and crude outbursts of unvarnished bigotry. For years, they kept him firmly leashed, rarely permitting him to attend a press interview without a senior staffer by his side.

31. Good catch, Snout
in the old days, an imbecile was described as someone with an IQ between 20 and 49. Don't get me started on the way IQ tests have been used to bash people (reference the Kallikak family), but that's a subject for another post.

Be that as it may, I nominate Senator Ted Stevens for some kind of posthumous award for all time stupidity, for informing us that the internet was a series of tubes.

Maybe he's not a fair target, though, since he's gone.

The word santorum /sænˈtɔərəm/ is a sexual neologism for a "frothy mixture of lube and fecal matter that is sometimes the byproduct of anal sex," and was proposed by readers of American humorist and sex-advice columnist Dan Savage in 2003 to "memorialize" then-Republican U.S. Senator Rick Santorum from Pennsylvania, prompted by controversy over his statements on homosexuality
