Ron Paul fears US will invade Pakistan
GOP presidential candidate Ron Paul is worried the U.S. could invade Pakistan after Osama bin Laden's death.

"I am absolutely afraid we will be in Pakistan trying to occupy that country," Paul, a congressman from Texas and a critic of the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, said on Wednesday on MSNBC's "Morning Joe."

Paul acknowledged he has no solid evidence that the U.S. has plans to "invade" Pakistan, but described his observation as being based on American foreign policy over the past two or three decades, and its "unintended consequences."

Paul implied that the Obama administration's apparent mistrust of Pakistan's ability to fight terrorism could lead to a full-scale invasion.

10. Must be - he has hair - curly even. If he wasn't so stupid, I'd assume Ron's wife cheated.

2. One thing really bothers me about these types of predictions
When they don't pan out, you rarely hear their proponents saying 'I admit it, I was completely wrong.' One's contrition if they are wrong should be equal to their chest-puffing if they are right.

3. The Pakistanis can't even occupy Pakistan

That he thinks the US would be dumb enough to try is the amazing thing here.

9. And the Afghanis can't even occupy Afghanistan...
Yet we're still there 9 years later. Paul's fears regarding this matter are not unfounded, imo.

http://www.allvoices.com/contributed-news/9115912-us-to-deploy-troops-if-pak-nukes-come-under-threat

US troops will be deployed in Pakistan if the nation's nuclear installations come under threat from terrorists out to avenge the killing of Osama bin Laden, the Sunday Express can reveal on Sunday.

The plan, which would be activated without President Asif Ali Zardari's consent, provoked an angry reaction from Pakistan officials last night. Barack Obama would order troops to parachute in to protect key nuclear missile sites. These include the air force's central Sargodha HQ, home base for nuclear-capable F-16 combat aircraft and at least 80 ballistic missiles
